CURACORN® Treatment

The revolutionary treatment to break the pattern of painful recurring corns is now available at Kenilworth Footcare

Why Choose Curacorn®?

Curacorn® is an advanced treatment option designed to give longer-lasting relief from painful corns and pressure points. Instead of relying on bulky pads or frequent corn cutting, Curacorn® creates a soft internal “cushion” exactly where you need it.

It can be a great choice if you:

- Keep getting the same painful corn back again and again

- Want to reduce how often you need routine corn removal appointments

- Struggle with toe protectors or padding in shoes

- Want a treatment that targets the pressure that causes the corn to form

At Kenilworth Footcare, Curacorn is delivered by our Lead Podiatrist, Cassie Armstrong, who will assess your corn and talk you through what results are realistic for you.

How does Curacorn treatment work?

Curacorn works by placing a medical-grade hyaluronic acid gel cushion beneath the corn. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is naturally found in the body.

In simple terms: corns form when pressure from the structures beneath the skin causes friction within the skin layers. Curacorn creates a barrier between bone and skin, so the skin is less likely to react by building up hard, painful corn tissue.

What to expect

  • Suitability first: You’ll start with a Curacorn Suitability Assessment (£20) so we can confirm Curacorn is appropriate for your corn and your overall foot health.

  • Comfort-focused treatment: If you go ahead with treatment, a gentle local anaesthetic is used to keep you comfortable.

  • Precise injection: The hyaluronic acid is injected beneath the corn to create a protective cushion.

  • Aftercare: You’ll be asked to keep the foot dry for 24 hours and avoid pressure on the treated area for 48 hours.

  • Driving: Because local anaesthetic is used, driving immediately after treatment is not permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Curacorn Suitability Assessment?

It’s a short appointment where our Lead Podiatrist, Cassie Armstrong, assesses your corn and checks whether Curacorn is suitable for you. It’s assessment only (no Curacorn treatment is carried out in this appointment). The fee is £20, and it’s redeemable against the cost of Curacorn treatment if you decide to go ahead.

I want my corn treated as well as assessed — what should I book?

Please book an Initial Consultation if you need your corn treated in the same visit as an assessment. The Curacorn Suitability Assessment is specifically for checking suitability and discussing your options, not for routine corn reduction or treatment on the day.

How many Curacorn treatments will I need?

Many patients see improvement after one Curacorn treatment, but some people need more than one session depending on the size, depth, and location of the corn, and what’s causing the pressure. We’ll explain your likely plan during your assessment.

Does Curacorn work on all corns?

Curacorn is designed for corns and pressure areas that form due to pressure and friction within the skin. Not every corn is the same, and suitability depends on the location, your skin condition, and your overall foot health. That’s why we your suitability is assessed prior to any treatment.

Are there any contraindications for Curacorn?

There are some situations where Curacorn may not be suitable, or where we may need to delay treatment until it’s safe. For example, we may advise against treatment if you have an active skin infection, ulceration, or a wound in the area, or if there are medical factors that affect healing.

The best way to check is to book a Curacorn Suitability Assessment. We’ll review your medical history, medications, and the condition of your skin, then advise you clearly on whether Curacorn is appropriate for you.

What do I need to do after Curacorn treatment?

You’ll be advised to keep the foot dry for 24 hours and avoid pressure on the treated area for 48 hours. We’ll also talk through footwear choices and any simple changes that can help reduce pressure while you heal.

Can I drive after Curacorn treatment?

No. Because a local anaesthetic is used, driving immediately after treatment is not permitted. We recommend arranging a lift or planning alternative transport.
