Why Do Toenail Problems Develop?

Our toenails take a bit of a battering and if the nail bed becomes damaged from either trauma, or from ongoing pressure, then this will affect how the nail grows. It could be thicker than normal or grow in a curved or involuted shape.

You may have an infection in your nail: fungal infections can make the nail thickened, discoloured and crumbly; or if the nail is growing into your toe, you may develop a painful bacterial infection.

This varies by individual, but based on our VIP membership data, most clients choose either 6-weekly (7%) or 8-weekly (51%) nail care appointments. We'll assess your nails and recommend the best schedule for you.

I think I might have a fungal nail infection - what should I do?

We offer a quick 5-minute fungal test (£30) to provide an accurate diagnosis. If confirmed, we can discuss various treatment options including K-Laser therapy and topical treatments like Emtrix.

Is professional nail cutting better than doing it myself?

How long does a nail care appointment take?

Initial appointments are usually 45 minutes to allow for a full assessment. Regular maintenance appointments for nail care only typically take 15 minutes. If you have other areas that need attention. such as corns or hard skin, we will advise booking a foot care appointment which takes around 30 minutes.

What should I do between appointments?

We'll provide specific advice for your needs, but generally:

Keep nails clean and dry

Wear well-fitting shoes

Use appropriate nail care products

Monitor for any changes

I need ongoing, routine nail care. Do you offer a payment plan for this?

Yes! We have a range of VIP payment plans for different types of treatments and for different intervals between treatments. We will advise you of the most suitable plan for you. Payments are then made on a monthly basis via Stripe. There are other benefits to being a VIP - just ask one of our Receptionists for more information.
